At Hot Tub Cover Spot, your satisfaction is our priority. We take pride in the quality of our materials and craftsmanship, ensuring your new cover is built to last and free from defects or imperfections.

Hot Tub Cover Spot’s manufacturing partners work hard to provide all customers with superb quality, innovation, reliability, and exceptional customer service. We’re proud to provide you with a limited warranty of 5 years on the cover skin and 1 year on the foam core. Please see terms below.

Hot Tub Cover Spot’s manufacturing partners warrant the insulating covers to the original end user to be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal usage, as follows:

• Cover Skin (vinyl outer shell): 5 years (60 months) from the date of purchase by the original end user.
• Foam Core: 1 year (12 months) from the date of purchase, against water absorption, regardless of foam density or taper.

This warranty applies to all covers, all tapers, and all foam densities.

This limited warranty does not cover damages caused by animals, fire, vandalism, excessive chemicals, improper installation and strain, abuse or abrasion, acts of God, or use for purposes other than that for which the cover was designed. Ordinary wear and tear, delamination, and seam splitting due to improper handling are not considered a defect in workmanship or material.

Warranty of the foam core is void if any holes are found to puncture or penetrate either the outer covering or inner seal.

Any expressed or implied warranty is limited in duration to the periods stated above (5 years for the cover skin, 1 year for the foam core) from the date of purchase to the original end user. Hot Tub Cover Spot shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages.

Any insulating cover deemed to have failed due to defects in materials or workmanship within the applicable warranty period will be repaired or replaced, at our option, without charge for materials or labor (excludes cost of freight, FOB).

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

This cover is not a safety cover and is not designed to hold weight. It is not intended to be walked on, stood on, or sat upon.

WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER IMPROPER USE OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

• Insulating cover has been subjected to alteration, misuse, abuse, or if any repairs on the cover are attempted by anyone other than our authorized representatives, unless express written approval is given.
• Foam breakage or tearing of vinyl (this cover is not intended to be walked, stood, or sat upon, or any excessive weight caused by rain, water, snow, animals, or any other acts of God).
• Damage due to excessive use of chemicals of water or contact with other chemicals on the cover material (this includes the use of Armor All® and other petroleum based products).
• Fading of vinyl and thread is not considered a defect and will naturally occur due to normal chemical maintenance, exposure to the elements and aging.
• Scuffing & Chafing or wearing holes in cover by dragging or storing/leaning against sharp objects.
• Damage caused by improper installation or during transportation from the dealer to purchaser.
• Any damage resulting from any misuse, abuse, negligence, acts of God, accident or alteration, (i.e. cover lifts, animals and excessive weight or wind).
• Any damage to the cover caused by pulling, or handling the cover by the straps, skirt, or heat bags will not be covered under warranty. (I.E. TORN SKIRT, TORN STRAPS, OR HEAT BAG TORN OFF OR AWAY FROM THE COVER)
• Please note that if the cover tag/label is torn or cut off of the cover that it will null and void the warranty completely. We require a picture of this label for any warranty submission to be considered for coverage, without this label, the warranty will receive an automatic denial and will not be considered for coverage.
• Grommets and buckles are classified as standard wear-and-tear components and are not included in warranty coverage.
• Water pooling on the cover is not classified as a warranty issue. It often results from improper installation, excessive weight, or other external factors.
• Water between the liner and foam is normal and expected — it is why drain holes are built into the liner.
• Hot Tub Cover Spot is not responsible for any incidental or consequential damages to any hot tub or spa.
• Vinyl and SpotHyde are water-resistant fabrics, but not fully waterproof.
• Cover lifters that puncture or pierce the insulating or safety core skin will void the warranty.
• The warranty is not transferable.

TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE:

Please contact Hot Tub Cover Spot to obtain instructions on where to present the defective or failed cover along with the serial number on the cover. In most cases we will only require pictures of claim to make determination but in case where inspection is needed:

Purchaser is responsible for the return of the insulating cover and all shipping charges, to and from the place where it was originally delivered from. Covers must be returned dry and reasonably clean; a cover that cannot be safely inspected for this reason will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.

Our manufacturing partners will repair or replace at their discretion any defects, if upon inspection by our manufacturing partners it is determined to be covered by the warranty.

COVER MAINTENANCE

• Clean and condition your cover at least once a month. Use a soft bristle brush with a mild dish-soap solution, rinse thoroughly, and apply a quality vinyl protectant such as 303 Vinyl Protectant. Do not use Armor All® or other petroleum-based products. Vinyl that isn’t kept clean and conditioned will deteriorate prematurely and become brittle — this is not repairable and is not covered under warranty.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to chemicals. Remove the cover when adding chemicals to your spa and leave it off for 20–30 minutes afterward to let vapors dissipate. Turn the cover upside down at least twice a year for a few hours to let the sun fully dry the underside — this extends the life of the cover.
• If foam inserts become cracked, heavy, or waterlogged, replace them promptly to avoid further damage. A cover lifter makes removal and storage significantly easier.

Implied Warranties:

The only express warranties are set herein and any implied warranties, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purchase, are limited in duration to that of the expressed warranties. This warranty does not cover consequential damages or incidental damages including damage to property or injury arising for the use or inability to use this product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of consequential of incidental damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
